These beautiful vases are made out of natural fibers and wood in a place called Nacajuca from Náhuatl  Naca-shushu-can which means “place of the pale faces”. It is located north west of Villahermosa in the state of Tabasco and although it has the smallest population of the state it has largest concentration of indigenous people who speak Maya-Chontal (Chontal from Náhuatl Chontalli that means foreigner) and for having the best artisans of the region known by the details of their work.

All their art crafts are handmade by them using only natural fibers that have been cultivated and harvested by them which enable them to keep their identity and traditions.
