Flor de Sal’s salt is collected from the beaches in the state of Colima, located in western México on the Pacific coast. It is the only place in the American continent that produces this type of salt. Flor de Sal has the highest quality sea salt in the world, often called “The Queen of Salt” because it contains four times more magnesium than the French Salt. It is obtained in the traditional way and it is harvested only 45 days a year. It has earned the reputation for being the best and we are sure that after you try it, you will never go back to the ordinary table salt. The name Flor de Sal translates as “flower of salt” and owes its name to the delicate scent of the violets that grow when the salt dries.
